James 1 NASB
26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

For me it's not about religion, it's about a relationship. Going to church doesn't make you saved. Joining an organized religion doesn't make you saved. Reading your Bible doesn't make you saved. Being baptized doesn't make you saved.
The only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. It's a relationship with Him that makes you saved. If you have religion but not a relationship you need to seek that relationship with Him, then you will be saved.
