2 Corinthians 8 Will you be regarded as a hypocrite?

20taking precaution so that no one will discredit us in our administration of this generous gift;21for we have regard for what is honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. 22We have sent with them our brother, whom we have often tested and found diligent in many things, but now even more diligent because of his great confidence in you. 23As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker among you; as for our brethren, they are messengers of the churches, a glory to Christ. 24Therefore openly before the churches, show them the proof of your love and of our reason for boasting about you.

Can we say we have the same honor before The Lord and in the sight of men?
That depends, what your coworkers say about you verses fellow Christians on Sunday. If both groups regard you as a diligent Jesus freak then all may be well. But if your coworkers see no difference in you than themselves then you will be regarded as a hypocrite. God will view you the same also. Will He then curse you to bring you into His will?

We would want to be regarded with the same devotion and respect for God as Luke and Titus. Wouldn't we?
Be His messenger, "show them openly the proof of your love and of our reason for boasting about you."

Blessings, David
