2 Corinthians 8 What abilities has God given you?

11But now finish doing it also, so that just as there was the readiness to desire it, so there may be also the completion of it by your ability. 12For if the readiness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. 13For this is not for the ease of others and for your affliction, but by way of equality— 14at this present time your abundance being a supply for their need, so that their abundance also may become a supply for your need, that there may be equality; 15as it is written, “HE WHO gathered MUCH DID NOT HAVE TOO MUCH, AND HE WHO gathered LITTLE HAD NO LACK.”

Readiness: willingness to do something:
Ability: possession of the means or skill to do something:
Equality: literally,. "out of equality," i.e. "in equal proportion" or "that there may be equality."
Sharing our abundance becomes a supply for their need and their abundance becomes a supply for our need, this bring equality of the body of Christ.

God has given us different skills, i.e. ability and when we have readiness and combine our skills we will lack nothing.
“HE WHO gathered MUCH DID NOT HAVE TOO MUCH, AND HE WHO gathered LITTLE HAD NO LACK.”

Are you using your God given abilities, with readiness in the church body of Christ?
What has He laid on your heart to do for Him?

Another important point to remember, He uses the weak to confound the wise. If you think you can't do something, it just may be He wants to build you up in that area you are weak in. When He gives you the opportunity, don't deny Him!

Blessings, David
