More. Genesis 1:29-31 NLT

It's never enough, we always strive for more. We can't seem to be content with what God has given us. We have a home, we want a better one. We have a car, we want a nicer one. We have a spouse, we want to mold them into what we want them to be. A closet full of clothing and still we shop.

It started in the garden. God gave man "every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food.... every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground—everything that has life.”

And it wasn't enough. They wanted more. But everything has a price and the price would be paid for generation to generation. I wonder if they would still have wanted more if they had known how it would effect the future of humanity.

Genesis 1:29-31 NLT

29 Then God said, “Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food. 30 And I have given every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground—everything that has life.” And that is what happened.

31 Then God looked over all He had made, and He saw that it was very good!
And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.

Blessings, Cecilia
