1 Peter 2 - Will you RESIST or SUBMIT?

Submission to Authorities
(Romans 13:1-7)

13Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to the king as the supreme authority, 14or to governors as those sent by him to punish evildoers and praise well-doers. 15For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorance of foolish men.

Last week we made our monthly trip to Traverse City and saw a vehicle with a bumper sticker that said RESIST. Cecilia and I both took our hands and formed a big "L" on our foreheads and mocked him. For those of you that don't know "L" stands for looser. We both laughed, lol. 

We both sinned! Jesus loves that foolish person who had the bumper sticker on their car. 

Yes we are to SUBMIT, even if your candidate didn't win. 

For God anoints kings, and if we RESIST, we are resisting God!

Romans 13:1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

So we pray for that person, we pray for ourselves to stop sinning, we pray for our president and his administration that Gods will be done!
