Stand Firm. Matthew 7:24-29

We've all seen video of torrential flood waters erode embankments, collapsing roads and structures. Once nature gets on a rampage there's little we can do to stop it. Man made structures sometimes don't have a chance. We just have to wait out the storm
If we have our foundation in Christ, we won't have to fear total collapse. We may be shaken, we may be battered but through our faith in God and His protective Spirit, we will make it through the storm intact. Even in the worst of times God is working through the storm to reveal Himself to us. Sometimes it's hard to see when we are in the midst of it.
If you are in the middle of a storm now or the next time one hits, stand firm on your foundation of faith. Ask God what He wants to teach you and be open to what He reveals.
Matthew 7:24-29
Building on a Solid Foundation
24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 for he taught with real authority—quite unlike their teachers of religious law.
Blessings, Cecilia
