If you played with a Ouija board when you were a kid raise your hand. Mine's up. Did you know that this opens you up to demonic spirits? How many of us followed our horoscope when we were younger or still do? That also is a open door for Satan to get a foot into our life. Maybe you think it's harmless, just for fun but the one truly having fun with it is Satan.
Satan roams the earth like a lion seeking whom he can devour. He is looking for that open door. He doesnt need much, just a crack. Once he slithers in, he looks for other ways to take up residence. A bad attitude here, an angry thought there, Satan feeds on it. Before you know it you are bitter, mean and no fun to be around. Wouldn't it be better to just keep the door tightly closed?
The evil spirits in Matthew 8:16 took up residence because the people left the door open. They dabbled in magic. I'm not talking about the harmless for entertainment magic Houdini performed but the palm readers, seance performing, chicken sacrificing, tarot card reading type of magic that was popular in their day and still around today. Ouija boards and horoscopes come from that type of magic.

Jesus Heals Many People
14 When Jesus arrived at Peter’s house, Peter’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. 15 But when Jesus touched her hand, the fever left her. Then she got up and prepared a meal for Him.
16 That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick. 17 This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said,
“He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases. "
