2 Thessalonians 2 Understand the scriptures, use discernment.

Thessalonians 2
Berean Study Bible

The Man of Lawlessness
1Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, brothers, 2not to be easily disconcerted or alarmed by any spirit or message or letter presuming to be from us and alleging that the day of the Lord has already come. 3Let no one deceive you in any way, for it will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness (the son of destruction) is revealed. 4He will oppose and exalt himself above every so-called god or object of worship. So he will seat himself in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

Dear friends and brethren, Satan doesn't like that you were born again of Jesus Christ! Satan is called the deceiver because he has earned that title. He will throw everything he has at you to trip you up, to discourage you, to keep you from declaring the One True God.
For this scripture says:
1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
"3Let no one deceive you in any way"

One way to test the spirits is with scripture. Do you recall how Jesus was tested and tempted? He had fasted for fourth days, and Satan came to Him. Jesus rebuked Satan with scripture!
Read your bible, understand the scriptures, use discernment. Test what you hear and see with the scriptures.

Blessings, David
