The other day I was longing for my friends in Tucson and my friends reading this devotional.
I am an amateur radio operator and my wife reminded me that I do talk to some of them via radio but longing to see them face to face was even more intense.
As we grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ, He is our hope, our joy, our boasting in Him and like Paul I cannot wait for His coming! I can't wait to be with Him in heaven, in a city full of love and joy without the pains of this body or this earth.
Are you growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus?

Paul's Longing to Visit (Romans 1:8-15)
17Brothers, although we were torn away from you for a short time (in person, not in heart), our desire to see you face to face was even more intense. 18For we wanted to come to you—indeed I, Paul, tried again and again—but Satan obstructed us. 19After all, who is our hope, our joy, our crown of boasting, if it is not you yourselves in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? 20You are indeed our glory and our joy.
