What is Love?

What is true love? For many, it seems as if it is emotions, feelings,
liking someone, sex, and whatever one person can "get" from another. The
biblical view of love is about moral character and what can be given to
others. Christians are to love, in 1John4:8 He who does not love does not
know God, for God is love. Biblical love is moral character, how we act and
treat other. Love is about sacrifice, in John 15:13 Greater love has no one
than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. And we also have to
focus on the greatest act of love ever shown in Romans5:8 But God
demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us. 1 Corinthians 13 is called the love chapter. When you
read it, put your name in the place of love and where there is a comma. See
if you are a person of "Love". If it does not fit, pray and ask God to help
you understand what true love is and help you to be able to love others in
a way that glorifies God. And if it does fit you perfectly, continue to
love others to the kingdom.

1Cor13:4 Love suffers long *and* is kind; love does not envy; love does not
parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek
its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity,
but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes
all things, endures all things.8 Love never fails...
