1 Thessalonians 3 Who can you encourage today?

Have you ever received an encouraging word or report from a brother or sister in Christ or a friend? I receive several now and then from fellow chaplains and friends, consisting of kind words of encouragement, or just a hello saying we are thinking of you and praying for you.
Words of encouragement give us strength in our missions, in our daily struggles, in our relationships, in our faith and help us strive towards the final goal, that is heaven.
I thank God for the encouragement given to me and the fond memories they have preserved. Without them it would be hard to continue this devotional, eventually Satan would convince me otherwise.
For now I can go on living, standing firm in The Lord. I thank God for you!

Who can you encourage today?

Timothy's Encouraging Report
6But now Timothy has returned from his visit with the good news about your faith, your love, and the fond memories you have preserved, longing to see us just as we long to see you. 7For this reason, brothers, in all our distress and persecution, we have been reassured about you, because of your faith. 8For now we can go on living, as long as you are standing firm in the Lord.

Blessings, David
