Hebrews 3 Persistence to Persevere

16For who were the ones who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? 17And with whom was God angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? 18And to whom did He swear that they would never enter His rest? Was it not to those who disobeyed? 19So we see that it was because of their unbelief that they were unable to enter.

Hebrews 3 teaches us Jesus is superior to Moses. It was taught because the Jews always referred to the Law of Moses.
The Jews who were freed from Egypt failed to keep their faith in God after witnessing the seven plagues, the sea parting, all the miracles in the wilderness. They failed to have Persistence to Persevere.

In a Clint Eastwood movie, an old Indian Chief commented after all his tribe went through, the wars with other tribes, the wars with the pale faces, he visited the great white chief (president) and the president told the chief he had Persistence to Persevere because he had survived all the wars and trials of his people's.

What about you, do you have Persistence to Persevere? If you do, you will be able to enter in His rest. If we stay the course, keep our belief in Jesus Christ, don't grieve the Holy Spirit we will receive the crown that God has set aside for us.

We can't conquer sin, but with Jesus sin is conquered.
I ask again. Do you have Persistence to Persevere?

Blessings, David
