He still loves you. Matthew 11:1-6

How often have we built up our expectation of something and then when it finally occurred we're disappointed? I think David and I are greatly disappointed in the outcome of our adoption of our son Jesus. I'm sure there are a lot of parents out there who end up disappointed in the paths their children take. You pour your heart and soul into raising responsible adults and they walk away from all you offer, continue to make bad decisions, and not take responsibility for their actions. But you continue to pray, you continue to love and you cling to the promise "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 2 2:6 NKJV
The Jews were disappointed in their Messiah. They expected a King in every respect if the word. They expected their Savior to be born of royalty and rule a kingdom on earth. They expected their Christ to flaunt His power and show all those Gentiles who's boss. When He didn't meet their expectations, they rejected Him, they despised Him and they crucified Him.
Even though the Jewish people were disappointed in their Messiah, God still loves them. Even though they made bad decisions, rejecting their Savior, even though they despised Him, even though they crucified Jesus, God still loves them.
God still loves you. Even when you make bad decisions, even when you walk away,  when you reject Him, and despise Him and disappoint Him, He still loves you.
"Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”
Luke 23:34 NKJV
Matthew 11:1-6
Jesus and John the Baptist
1 When Jesus had finished giving these instructions to His twelve disciples, he went out to teach and preach in towns throughout the region.
2 John the Baptist, who was in prison, heard about all the things the Messiah was doing. So he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, 3 “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?”
4 Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen— 5 the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor. 6 And tell him, ‘God blesses those who do not turn away because of Me.’”Matthew
