Guidelines for Reproof
1Do not rebuke an older man, but appeal to him as to a father. Treat younger men as brothers, 2older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.
When I was growing up in the 50's and 60's my parents taught me to respect our elders, respect of my grandparents and to respect people in general. As we can see in today's society something has changed. It's evident young people no longer respect their elders.
Resisting authority is popular with one particular group.
But is there something else going on here?
Our adopted son resisted all authority and was diagnosed with oppositional defiant disorder.
Mark 13:12 "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.
The bible is clear what happens as society drifts away from God and from biblical principles, society will begin to reap what it sows. Abortion, definition of marriage, lawlessness, open boarders, drugs the list can go on....
Please pray for a revival in our country before it's too late. Go out of your way to respect your elders even if they don't deserve it. Display the love of Christ to everyone, be His light in this dying world.
