Time is short, is today your last day?

Expectations, disappointment and failure is a vicious cycle that many
people go through, and there are some that go through it more than others.
I read, "Sometimes we create our own heartbreak through expectations". The
more people that I talk to, it seems like there are very few that are happy
in the relationships they are in. Marriages, families, and friendships are
broken apart, mostly because of pride and selfishness, and some times, we
just make poor choices. Paul wrote in *Phil 2:3 Do nothing from selfishness
or empty conceit [through factional motives, or strife], but with [an
attitude of] humility [being neither arrogant nor self-righteous], regard
others as more important than yourselves. 4 Do not merely look out for your
own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.* This is not
easy to do when you have never seen it done, that is why Paul wrote, *Phil
2:5 Have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look
to Him as your example in selfless humility]*. We have Jesus as our perfect
example of selflessness and humility. May we follow His example in loving
those around us and putting the needs of others above our own. Especially
our spouses, children, family and loved ones. Time is short, love, like
today may be your last day, it just might be.
