Fade To Black. Matthew 24:9-14 NLT

Do you remember how the old movies always ended with the words "The End" on the screen? Now movies just fade to black. I remember one time at the Mission I put an old VHS movie in the player for the kids. You know how credits use to be at the beginning of movies? The kids thought the movie was over. I had to tell them to be patient and wait. The movie would start soon.

Verses 9-12 below are things that are happening right now throughout the world. Christians are imprisoned, tortured, beheaded, mocked and ridiculed. We use to be free in this country to practice our faith, whatever it is. That's not so anymore. Increasingly we see Christian rights and beliefs in particular being trampled and taken away.

We are heading toward "the end" at a faster and faster rate. If you're waiting for "the end" to get your life right with our Savior, that day is today. You're not going to get a warning, credits won't roll across the screen. When Jesus returns we will not fade to black, there will be no words "The End" scrolled across the sky.

Matthew 24:9-14 NLT

9“Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are My followers.  10 And many will turn away from Me and betray and hate each other.  11 And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.  12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.  13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.  14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.

Blessings, Cecilia
