Eyes on the Skies. Matthew 24:3-8 NLT

As bad as things seem in the world right now, it will get worse. Not a very comforting thought, is it. The recent riots in Germany, the 4th of July death toll in Chicago, an earthquake July 6th in Montana, these are just "birth pains".

How long will the hate and destruction go on before God has had enough? Only He knows. Although we are taught to wait for His return any moment, I believe things will get much worse before He returns.

The question I'm left with is how quickly will the state of the world get to the end of God's patience? How soon will it all be "enough"? It seems that evil is rapidly spreading.

So as we continue to watch world events unfold, keep your eyes on the skies.

Matthew 24:3-8 NLT

3 Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to Him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal Your return and the end of the world?”

4 Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you,  5 for many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many.  6 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately.  7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world.  8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

Blessings, Cecilia
