In The Garden Matthew 26:36-39 NLT

It started in the Garden of Eden, life created into the world by a perfect God. Deception led to greed, greed led to the fall of man and sin overtook the world.

Now, back in a garden Gods wrath will be satisfied once and for all. No more blood sacrifice will need be offered for the atonement of sin. The blood spilled out at the cross from the perfect Lamb, the Lamb without blemish, the Lamb of God, will satisfy His wrath for the sins of ALL mankind. For my sins and your sins and all the sins committed since that first fall in the Garden of Eden.

The Garden of Gethsemane was surrounded by olive trees. It was the place were olives were pressed for their oil. Here, Jesus too would be pressed, crushed by the weight of our sin, almost to the point of death.

Pastor said the other day "If you can't accept what Jesus did for you, you will pay the penalty yourself."

Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for MY sin! Thank you for thinking of ME when you prayed in the garden. Amen

Matthew 26:36-39 NLT

Jesus Prays in Gethsemane

36 Then Jesus went with them to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and He said, “Sit here while I go over there to pray.”  37 He took Peter and Zebedee’s two sons, James and John, and He became anguished and distressed.  38 He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with Me.”

39 He went on a little farther and bowed with His face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from Me. Yet I want Your will to be done, not Mine.”

Blessings, Cecilia
