Dad Loves Me Best. Ephesians 2:4-10

Ephesians 2:4-10 NKJV
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Do you really think it is because you are so very lovable that God loves you? I know I'm not THAT lovable! Yet, despite how unlovable I am, God loves me as if I am His only child. God loves YOU as if you are His only child.
Grace is undeserved favor. We are undeserving of the gifts God gives us. Our salvation is the most important gift God gives us yet we don't deserve to spend eternity with God because of our sin.
Mercy is not giving us what we deserve. Because of our sin, we deserve eternity in hell.
God, in His abundant grace (giving us what we don't deserve) and mercy (not giving us what we deserve) because of His abundant love for us, chooses to give us the free gift of salvation, eternity with Him. We just have to accept the gift. God offers this free gift through His Son's death in the cross. Jesus took the wrath of God on Him so we could experience God's grace and mercy.
Blessings, Cecilia
