[including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and
be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for
He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up
nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in
any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold
on you)! [Assuredly not!]
The first time you do something wrong and commit sin, may be because you
were weak or manipulated in to it. The second time you do it, it is choice.
Choosing to live right before God and man is not easy. I want all who read
this to understand that I am not condemning anyone. I have throughout my
life participated in probably every sin common to man. There have been a
few that I even committed as a "Christian". It seems as if in today's
society the sins that were secret are now being done openly and with pride.
The fear of God has gone by the wayside for many. Desire for a
relationship, gambling, drunkenness, drugs, pornography, greed,
covetousness, are just a few of the things that draw us away from Jesus.
The heart of the matter is the matter of the heart. To whom does your heart
belong, to God or the world? Jesus will never let you down, anything else
that we trust in WILL let us down and leave us broken because there is no
eternal value in anything of this world. Brethren, may we be content with
what the God has given and live for Him with all that we are, In The Lord
Jesus precious and powerful name, amen.
