Colossians 1 Is your life honoring God?

7You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co-worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf.b 8He has told us about the love for others that the Holy Spirit has given you.
9So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

There are several key points in these verses:
Let's examine them.

Being Christ's faithful servant.
Are you His faithful servant?

The Holy Spirit gives you love for others.
I never realized it was the Holy Spirit that gives you love for others, but it's true! When you accepted Christ, the Holy Spirit came into you. It's Him who shapes and molds you like a piece of pottery.

Don't stop praying!
Never ceasing!
1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray continually,

Ask God to give you and others complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
What did Solomon ask for? Wisdom to govern his people!
1 Kings 3:12 I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.

Your life and those you pray for, will always honor and please the Lord, and will produce every kind of good fruit.
His will not ours. Are you honoring the Lord? What kind of fruit are you producing?

You will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

Father, I pray that we may always continue to grow and know You better! That we are faithful, love others, pray continually, have complete knowledge of your will with spiritual wisdom and understanding, that we will always honor and please you, and produce every kind of good fruit. In Jesus name I pray.

Blessings, David
