to him]. 1Pet5:8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant
and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around
like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and
devour.
Do you ever feel like you have a target on your back? You feel like every
situation before you is meant to bring you pain? There can be different
reasons that this happens. Sometimes it is from God, trying to get your
attention. And then there is the enemy, who's sole purpose is to steal,
kill and destroy. For many, they feel no pressure because their service is
not unto God, it is unto the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and
the pride of life. Simply put, serving the world with no desire to serve
God. Some have gone as far as to of sold their soul to the devil to achieve
fame and fortune here on earth. There is a part of the Christian walk that
is difficult, the part of walking in purity before God. There have been
many that have given in to sin and have brought shame to Jesus. Brethren,
may we stand strong in our faith no matter what the enemy throws at us,
serve God whole-heartily, and DO NOT give the enemy a foothold to bring
destruction, in Jesus name, amen.
