Colossians 1 You were rescued!

11We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,c12always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. 13For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, 14who purchased our freedomd and forgave our sins.

Why do we need endurance and patience? Because we live in a fallen world. It's only a question of when you will have trouble!

May you always have joy! Yes this is my prayer for you, always thanking the Father because He has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and given us an inheritance in the Light! We belong to the Kingdom of the Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

My fourth great grandfather fought in the American Revolutionary War. You can say that he and others who fought alongside him purchased our freedom as a country. The reason he and others joined the fight is interesting. He was attending church and the pastor gave a fiery sermon that Sunday about the British running around murdering the citizens. 50+ men joined up that day to fight oppression and gain freedom. They sacrificed their homes and land and some sacrificed their lives.
But their sacrifice for our freedom wasn't near what Jesus sacrificed. Jesus sacrificed heaven and came to earth as a man, was humiliated, tortured and beaten, suffered and died so you could have freedom from the kingdom of darkness.
Yes thank God today for your freedom now that you belong to the Kingdom of His dear Son.

Blessings, David
