Purify me!

Malachi 3:2 But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand
when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderer’s soap
[which removes impurities and uncleanness].

Purify me! Have you ever been at a celebration where you knew there were
some other Christians there, and there was no mention of Christ? Did you
feel out of place, like you did not belong there? God works in all of His
children a little bit differently and still has the same goal, to help us
become the reflection of Jesus to our worlds. Sometimes the problem is that
we are so caught up in the joy of the world that we do not share the joy of
our Lord with the people of our world's. The refining process of gold is
simple. Heat up the gold until the dross (impurities) come to the top,
scrape it off, heat it up again and scrape off some more of the dross. This
can be a long and painful process. The process is complete when the refiner
can look into the gold and see his perfect reflection. Jesus is coming back
and His children need to be ready. May all of God's children desire to be
purified and cleansed before Him, not get caught up in the ways of the
world, stay focused on our Lord, in Jesus name, amen.
