Do you humble yourself before God?

Dan10:12 Then he said to me, “Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first
day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself
before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your
words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was standing in
opposition to me for twenty-one days... Eph6:12 For our struggle is not
against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but
against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this
[present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the
heavenly (supernatural) places.

There are battles that we face everyday that we do not understand. For
some, their worlds fall apart because of poor choices made in the past and
the consequences that they are dealing with. For others it is dealing with
someone else's poor decision. And sometimes things just happen. My life
seems to have been over run with all of the above. Then there are the
internal battles. Suicide is on the increase, it is a permanent solution to
a temporary problem. Adultery and divorce is happening in the church as
much as outside. In John10:10 it says that, "The thief comes only in order
to steal and kill and destroy." Some people do not acknowledge and seem to
be oblivious to the spiritual battles that are raging all around us. Daniel
set his heart towards God, and God acted on that first day. I am not sure
"why" certain things happen. Death of parents in a car accident, sickness
of a child, unfaithfulness to a spouse and even more unfaithfulness to God.
I have confidence in God's word. Romans 8: 28 And we know [with great
confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things
to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who
are called according to His plan and purpose.
