Ephesians 4 Are you a mature Christian?

11And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. 14As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;

Becoming a Christian, you are like a child until you mature like an adult. You study scripture, understanding the word of God so you won't be carried away by doctrine, trickery, craftiness, deceitful scheming or Satan himself. You are no longer a child being carried from wave to wave.

As a mature Christian, God has a plan for you and your spiritual gifts. You have a salvation story, you were once dead in your sins but now are "saved", born again as a new man in Christ Jesus!

What is your plan? It's actually Gods plan! Start by telling others about your salvation and pray that God will show you how and where to use your spiritual gifts in the work of service, building up the body of Christ. Keep praying and He will open a door for you. Trust Him where He leads you remembering that He uses the weak to confound the wise.

Blessings, David
