you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment
and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of
yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved,
gracious] gift of God;9 not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts
to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in
any way [for his salvation].
I have seen many Christians trying to prove a point, their point, a
important point to them, that to me, takes away from the point of the
cross. How is the galaxy set up, dietary laws, days to worship, what to
wear, what to eat, etc... Grace is not an excuse to sin, but undeserved
favor when we do. Salvation comes only through Jesus, and there is NOTHING
that we can do, no work or effort we can put in, to get it. The thief on
the cross confessed Jesus as Lord and asked simply in Luke 23:42...“Jesus,
[please] remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” 43 Jesus said to
him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, today you will be with Me
in Paradise.” There was no baptism, the only communion was between the two
of them. Brethren, may we keep focused on the important part of
Christianity, in Acts 4:11 This Jesus...12 And there is salvation in no one
else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among
people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no
alternative for salvation].”Stop being distracted, get focused, Jesus is
coming back!
