Return to Him Matthew 18:12-14 NLT

Many years ago David and I owned a Siberian Husky named Sasha. She was not the smartest dog but always entertaining. Her most frequent mistake was to not watch where she was going when running. She ended up hitting a lot of trees. I remember one time she misjudged the height of some bushes lining a lake and ended up face first in the water when she tried to jump them. Another time she jumped down an embankment and ended up rolling several times on "landing".

On one trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan she decided to go exploring on her own. Being a friendly dog, she often would go to any human without reservation. The people she went to on this occasion happened to be from a nearby town. They saw her Arizona tag and couldn't figure out how she got to Michigan so picked her up and took her home.

Meanwhile David and I were searching for her. Through word if mouth, we tracked her down to the home in town. The relief I felt when we finally found her..... I think I cried all the way home.

That doesn't even scratch the surface of the joy God feels when one of His "children" returns to Him. He will do all He can to bring you back to Him when you are lost. You are that important to Him.

Matthew 18:12-14 NLT

Parable of the Lost Sheep

12 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? 13 And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away! 14 In the same way, it is not My heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.

Blessings, Cecilia
