Form An Addiction To Jesus. Matthew 19:23-26 NLT

What is the most important thing in your life?

Jesus gave His life for you, what will you give up for Him? The rich young ruler was told to sell all he had and give the money to the poor. He went away sad because he had great riches and didn't want to give them up. His wealth was his god. Jesus goes on to explain it's difficult for rich people to find salvation because money tends to be their god.

It doesn't have to be money that becomes your god though. Anything that you put before a relationship with Christ, that you are unwilling to give up, that is more important to you then God, hinders you from eternal salvation.

It could be an addiction like alcohol, drugs, shopping, gambling, television, a hobby, food, even a person. Anything that consumes your life keeps God at a distance  and prevents you from reaching your full potential as a servant of Christ and the glory waiting for you in Heaven.

So I'll ask again, what is the most important thing in your life?

Matthew 19:23-26 NLT

23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.  24 I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”

25 The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked.

26 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
