persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the
circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is
the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. Phil4:6 Do not be anxious or
worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and
situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your
[specific] requests known to God.(AMP)
Recently I have been asked what my plans are for the future. My response
was, to be in God's will. I have heard it said, "If you don't know where
you want to go, it doesn't matter what path you take". Prayer is the
pathway to our future. God knows what is best for His children, and He is
willing and able to give us direction. For some, they are afraid to ask,
because what they will need to do may be uncomfortable or challenging.
Situations change daily, physical, emotional, financial, life and death.
Brethren, we must trust our unknown future to an all knowing God. Pray,
rejoice, be thankful, in and through everything, glorify Jesus and see the
world around you change for eternity.
