2 Corinthians 2 Are you peddling the Word of God?

12Now when I came to Troas for the gospel of Christ and when a door was opened for me in the Lord, 13I had no rest for my spirit, not finding Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I went on to Macedonia.

      14But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. 15For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; 16to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things? 17For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.

Paul was looking for his brother and couldn't find him so he moved on in his journey.

He compares preaching to a sweet aroma; "15For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;".
And he shares his humility; "who is adequate for these things? "
And compares himself to a peddler;
Peddler definition; a person who promotes an idea or view persistently or widely.

"peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God."

Have you ever brought someone to Christ? When you left, did you smell the aroma in the air? Did your heart sing for Jesus because another soul was added to heaven?  Not added from you, but you were His vessel.
Remember you speak in Christ in the sight of God! Yes, He is watching! Seeing you His faithful servant! Isn't that awesome?

May The Holy Spirit give you the words to speak, place the lost soul in your presence, and soften their heart so you can present the Holy Gospel to the lost and dying. In Jesus name I pray.

Blessings, David
