One died for your soul, the other died for your freedom!

THANK YOU to all that have served, are serving or are going to be serving
our country to protect it. Veterans Day is an official United States public
holiday, observed annually on November 11, that honors military veterans;
that is, persons who served in the United States Armed Forces. Douglas
MacArthur wrote - "The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is
the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war".
I read, "Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus
Christ and the Soldier. One died for your soul; the other for your freedom
- Author unknown. Jesus said in *John10:11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good
Shepherd lays down His [own] life for the sheep. 15 even as the Father
knows Me and I know the Father—and I lay down My [very own] life
[sacrificing it] for the benefit of the sheep.* May we always remember,
what Jesus did upon the cross, first and foremost, for "the world" because
of love. Jesus also spoke in *John15:13 No one has greater love [nor
stronger commitment] than to lay down his own life for his friends.* May
pray fervently for the veterans, for there are some that went through so
much in service and battle that will cause them not to make it through the
day today. And as for the active duty, who will be veterans someday, may we
pray for them also, because they are sacrificing a part of their own lives
to keep us all safe. God bless America, please.
