J.O.Y.!

J.O.Y. - Jesus, Others, Yourself. Have you ever sat down and tried to
figure out who the most important people in your life are? There are many
things in our lives that take our focus off of what we should be doing for
the kingdom of God. Pride and selfishness are the leading causes of sin in
my opinion. Fulfilling our own desires keeps us from truly loving others as
we are called to do. Prayer list are great ways to help us remember what
those that we come into contact with need. It is written in *Eph6:18 With
all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on
every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view,
stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for
all God’s people.* and in *1Tim2:1 First of all, then, I urge that
petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others)
and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people* this is how we should
pray, and I know at times I fail to do it. There are different list that we
all have that are easy to use. Our cell phones have a list of the most
important people, the ones we love and care about. If they are in your
phone, they are in there for a reason. Also, have you ever looked at your
friend list on Facebook? Recently I went through my friends and phone and
prayed for all those on my list specifically by name, one by one, and I ask
that you sit down and do the same thing. Paul spoke simple words,
*1Thes5:25 Brothers and sisters, pray for us.* May our God richly bless you
all, my beloved.
