28And now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming.
29If you know that He is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
"little children" not an infant or an adult but someone young in Christ. John is attempting to teach as a father would to his children.
Practice what you preach.
People know you by your fruit.
These are several phrases that come to mind when reading verse 29.
How many times have we seen someone who claims Christianity act like a follower of Satan?
Brethren, you know He is righteous!
If we are born (born again) of Him, shouldn't we practice righteousness?
WWJD-what would Jesus do?
WWJP-what would Jesus post?
WWJS-what would Jesus say?
Take these acronyms and replace Jesus with yourself!
Are you born of Him?
