My Heart, Christ Home

Eph3:16 May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened
and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self,
[indwelling your innermost being and personality], 17 so that Christ may
dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply]
rooted and [securely] grounded in love, 18 be fully capable of
comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and
height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless
love]; (AMP)

There is a booklet by Robert Boyd Munger called "My Heart, Christ Home",
that explains what it is to invite Jesus into your heart. The premise is
that when we truly invite Him in, every part of our lives is experienced
with Him. It talks about rooms that we are to open to Him. The study,
dining room, living room, workshop, rec room, bedroom, even the secret
closet. Keeping a house clean is tiresome and burdensome. Keeping your
heart that way is difficult as well. Christians become strengthened and
spiritually energized with surrender. We can come to truly understand the
width and length and height and depth of His love if we open up our hearts,
minds and lives to the one who loved us to the death.
