Are you distracted?

Douglas Blaser

There are many things that can distract us from focusing on God's will and purpose for our lives. Family, religion, work, relationships, hobbies, money, and the list goes on. The focus of the believer is to be on Jesus. Brethren, we must remember that Jesus endured the cross and disregarded the shame for us. It is not easy, but God is to be in control of lives and we are to be surrendered to Him.
“The more you focus on yourself, the more distracted you will be from the proper path. The more you know Him and commune with Him, the more the Spirit will make you like Him. The more you are like Him, the better you will understand His utter sufficiency for all of life’s difficulties. And that is the only way to know real satisfaction.” - John MacArthur
Heb12:2 [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].(AMP)
