reason or another they don't. Sometimes it is because of pride,
selfishness, shame and doubt. It says in *James 5:16 Therefore, confess
your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for
one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and
persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when
put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have
tremendous power].* Prayer can be powerful if done with the right heart and
motive. Prayer is not twisting God's arm to get what we want. It is trying
to get our lives in line with what God wants us to do, to be, and to
glorify Him. Then there are times that there are specific needs and yet
they are not prayed for specifically. The Bible says in *Ephesians 6:18
With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on
every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view,
stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for
all God’s people.* It says to pray for all of God's people. For many of us,
ALL of God's people, are only those that we know and associate with. Social
media and technology have opened up the world of believers to be able know
each other that we never met before. Brethren, even though we may never
meet in person, until we get to heaven, know that Jesus loves you and I do
too.
