5For to which of the angels did God ever say:
“You are my Son;
today I have become Your Father”a?
Or again:
“I will be His Father,
and He will be My Son”b?
6And again, when God brings His firstborn into the world, He says:
“Let all God’s angels worship Him.”c
7Now about the angels He says:
“He makes His angels winds,
His servants flames of fire.”d
8But about the Son He says:
“Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever,
and righteousness will be the scepter of Your kingdom.
9You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, Your God, has placed You above Your companions
by anointing You with the oil of joy.”e
These verses prove the false teachings of a cult that say Jesus was a prophet, an angel or procreation.
Jesus is greater than the Angels because He is the Son of God.
“Let all God’s angels worship Him.”
Jesus is Lord over the angels.
Guzik says: They are His angels and His ministers.
Guzik says: Your throne, O God: This makes it plain that the Father calls the Son God. When the First Person of the Trinity spoke to the Second Person of the Trinity, He called Him God. This is unique and powerful evidence of the deity of Jesus.
"therefore God, Your God, has placed You above Your companions
by anointing You with the oil of joy.”"
Guzik says: This passage shows striking interaction between the Persons of the Trinity. "God, Your God" speaks of the Father and His position of authority over the Second Person of the Trinity. "You" refers to the Son. "Anointed" has in mind the ministry and presence of the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity.
We may not fully understand the Trinity until we meet Jesus face to face.
What does the bible teach about the Trinity?
