minds of both Christian's and non-Christian's alike. This is one of many
questions that we contemplate everyday. What is "Your" life going to count
for? Every one of us is investing our lives into something. What is it in
for you? More importantly, for the believer, will it stand the test? 2
Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ,
that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he
has done, whether good or bad.* What are you building with? In the great
day when all people see things the way they truly are before God, will you
be filled with joy that your life was invested in what stood the test and
contributed to the glory of the Lord Himself? *1 Corinthians 3:14 If
anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.*
I believe that there is no-one, who is a Christian, who will not have some
degree of gold, silver and precious stones, because God guarantees it by
having come into our lives. But there can also be a lot of wood, hay and
stubble too, built upon the philosophy of the flesh instead of the work of
the Spirit. Will you be ashamed that you wasted all your years making an
impression on people for selfish reasons and having that investment be
burned up in the fire? One day, every one of us will give an account for
how we lived. I do not believe that God is concerned, as we often think,
with what we do, so much as why we do it. The heart of the matter is the
matter of the heart. The materials we use to build the church – His church,
are important, CHOOSE WISELY!
