it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged
sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the
completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts
of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of
the heart.
The Bible is a number one best seller, many people have 3 or 4, some people
have a dozen or more, and yet many sit on a shelf and are never read. Why?
The word of God changes lives. As a person reads the words, it changes
them, it changes everything about them if they take it to heart. There are
many though that read the words and think that is good for someone else. It
is just a set of rules for weak minded individuals that are unable to think
on their own. We have allowed others to take Bibles out of our schools for
one reason or another and have them in prisons to help those that didn't
get them in schools. As a believer gets into the word and the word gets
into them, everything changes. The alcoholic, drug addict, sexually
immoral, liar, thief, etc. have life changing moments because the Word is
alive and active. One of the greatest blessing we can have in this life is
to hear God speak, and He does everyday through His word. May our prayer be
simple, Word of God speak to me this day, in Jesus name, amen.
