Jude 1-Examine your ways!

10These men, however, slander what they do not understand, and like irrational animals, they will be destroyed by the things they do instinctively. 11Woe to them! They have traveled the path of Cain; they have rushed headlong into the error of Balaam; they have perished in Korah’s rebellion.

“How ironical that when men should claim to be knowledgeable, they should actually be ignorant; when they think themselves superior to the common man they should actually be on the same level as animals, and be corrupted by the very practices in which they seek liberty and self-expression.” (Green)

Cain got very angry and murdered his brother.
Balaam was willing to compromise everything for money.
Korah questioned Moses’s authority and the ground opened up and swallowed him and his followers.

My friends, the lesson here teaches us that those who claim to be knowledgeable are often ignorant and we should refrain from cursing one another. Examine your ways!

Are you following the way of Cain, Balaam, or Korah?

Blessings, David
