Romans 4 (NLT)
The Faith of Abraham
Abraham was, humanly speaking, the founder of our Jewish nation. What did he discover about being made right with God? 2 If his good deeds had made him acceptable to God, he would have had something to boast about. But that was not God’s way. 3 For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”

4 When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. 5 But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.
No matter how many good works we do, no matter how much money we give to charity, no matter how hard we work for the Kingdom of God, we cannot buy our way into Heaven. Heaven is not something to be earned.
Then how do we get there? It's easy, really, it's not a secret. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Not just that He exist, you have to believe with every fiber of your body the Jesus is the Son of God. You have to believe that He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. You have to believe He died for your sins, was buried and came back to life. You have to believe He walked again in the flesh on the earth and then, ascended to Heaven to reign and rule with God.
That's the only way, that's the truth and that's the eternal life God wants with you.
Blessings, Cecilia
