perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
The road to heaven started at the cross where Jesus died. The world has
become so familiar with the cross that many have forgotten the impact it
needs to have in our lives. For the early Christians, it was a horrible
brutal symbol of pain and suffering. Today, the cross has become the symbol
of Christianity and for the unbelievers just a decoration. As believers
think about what Jesus went through, we mourn, because of the suffering He
endured because of our sin, and yet, can also rejoice in the victory that
the cross did not finish what God had planned. There was a blood-stained
path that our crucified Savior walked, and we must remember that Jesus
walked that path for each of us. To live a life without sharing what Jesus
has done is foolishness and selfish. May God give ALL of His children
boldness to share the gospel without fear, take our focus off of the
distractions of this world and seek the eternal, in Jesus name, amen.
