These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
How do you view Jesus Christ? We see here in today's study how God the Father viewed Him.
First the Father raised Him (Jesus) from the dead.
Because of Jesus' obedience God the Father then "seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places"
"21far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come."
ALL means all! Over everyone and everything for all time!
Then the Father "22And He put all things in subjection under His feet,"
Are you getting the picture? Everything under His feet!
The Father then, "gave Him as head over all things to the church,"
Jesus is the High Priest over the church.
"23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all."
Your father:
When you were born into this world, if you were lucky as I was, you had a loving father that provided love and met your earthly needs.
As a born again Christian your Heavenly Father has adopted you as His own son or daughter and given you eternal life. He meets our spiritual and eternal needs.
Our earthly father couldn't give us this gift but if he came to believe in Jesus he received it also.
Blessings, David
