What will you do?

Acts 4:18 So they sent for them, and commanded them not to speak [as His
representatives] or teach at all in the name of Jesus [using Him as their
authority]. 19 But Peter and John replied to them, “Whether it is right in
the sight of God to listen to you and obey you rather than God, you must
judge [for yourselves]; 20 for we, on our part, cannot stop telling
[people] about what we have seen and heard.”

You are not allowed to speak the name of Jesus or there will be severe

consequences! What do you do? For some, they will continue living a life of

boldness and suffer the consequences. Others will will go into hiding. And

still others will walk away completely. There are many people throughout

the world that die everyday in Jesus name. Genocide, civil wars, ISIS, are

just a few ways that this is happening. Christian persecution is not new.

For those of us in the "Civilized" nations, we do not see the pain and

sacrifice of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Recently I have seen a

video of Christians being beaten to death and people stood by and just

watched. My heart broke. If it ever gets to the point where it becomes

illegal to speak the name of Jesus, what will YOU do? I pray that my

response will be the same as Peter and John, that I cannot stop telling

people about what I have seen and heard. What about you?
