14For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Paul's blessings in this scripture are many, let's examine them.
First he acknowledges the Father God, the creator of the heavens and earth. Paul does so in submission on his knees.
Grants to you, from the riches of His (Gods) glory, to be strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit in your inner man (your soul) so that Christ Jesus may dwell in your heart (His love) that you may be rooted and grounded in love (love of Christ) comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth (beyond measure) and to know the love of Christ (His love for ALL, including sinners) which surpasses knowledge, (beyond our comprehension) that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. (Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.) His fruit and fullness.
I pray that today you may realize the fullness of His love for you, that He gave His Son for you so that you could be considered sinless and spend eternity with Him. May His love find a way into your heart and soul and reflect (shine) out of you onto others so that they know you are His!
Blessings, David
