1Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. 2Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. 3For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another. 5For each one will bear his own load.
Restoration with love, be humble, bear one another's burdens, examine you own work and bear your own load.
Great words from Paul.
How many of us fail in these regards? Do we restore or correct in love? Are you a humble person? Do you help bear another's burdens? Do you carry your own load?
Last spring we had an overwhelming project. We had 50 trees cut down for a pole barn build. We had a new church family and met some new friends. One of them is a local prominent doctor. He had asked, how we were doing? Cecilia mentioned to him we were moving and stacking wood from the trees. He asked, if I came out on Saturday, what time should I show up? He help us with a great burden and gave us new hope in finishing this project!
How can you help bear one another's burdens today?
Blessings, David
