What kind of friends do you hang out with?

Prov17:17 A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.
27:17 As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens [and influences] another
[through discussion]. 2Cor 6:14 Do not be unequally bound together with
unbelievers [do not make mismatched alliances with them, inconsistent with
your faith]. For what partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness?
Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

Relationships are very important and help us to become a certain type of
person. I have heard it said, show me who you hang out with and I will show
you who you are. There are certain relationships that people have no choice
as to have. Work and school are 2 of the top ones. There is an analogy of a
person sitting on a stool and another person on the ground. Who has more
leverage to change the others situation? The person on the ground can pull
the other down. This is the same in relationships. Unbelievers can take a
saint down quick if the saint is not careful. Throughout scripture it is
written that a brother, a friend in Christ loves, is born to help in
adversity, influences the right way, and will help in righteousness.
Lawlessness and darkness are all around, may we choose righteousness and
light to share with and encourage our brethren, and pray that the
unbelievers see something in us as well that helps them change their ways.
