7He named the place Massahand Meribahbecause the Israelites quarreled, and because they tested the LORD, saying, “Is the LORD among us or not?”
The Lord remembered how the Israelites tested Him with their quarreling and lack of faith.
Deuteronomy 6:16 Do not test the LORD your God as you tested Him at Massah.
Deuteronomy 9:22 You continued to provoke the LORD at Taberah, at Massah, and at Kibroth-hattaavah.
Deuteronomy 33:8 Concerning Levi he said: “Give Your Thummim to Levi and Your Urim to Your godly one, whom You tested at Massah and contested at the waters of Meribah.
“Under the stress of an immediate lack, these people doubted the one fact of which they had overwhelming evidence.” (Morgan)
I am no different than the Israelites, yesterday I was watching, listening and reading the news about those in our government that are subverting the law, lying and making false accusations and got angry.
The Lord reminded me He is in control!
Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up our president and his family. Please keep your hand of protection over them, guide them to do your will. I pray for those in our government and news media, please turn them from their evil ways and reveal the truth.
Please turn their false accusations back around on their heads.
Please weed out the crooked politicians that have sold their soul for financial gain and return our government to one that honors You and continues to stand by Israel, a government that is of, for and by the people.
In Jesus name I pray.
Please pray daily for our president and our nation.
