Forgiven or Judged? Jude 1:24

The Bible tells us “He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.” Psalm 103:12. Psalm 65:3 says “Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all.” In Isaiah 1:18 we are told “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”

But the Bible also says in Ecclesiastes 3:17 “In due season God will judge everyone, both good and bad, for all their deeds.” And Romans 14:10-12 tells us “10 So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’”12 Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.”

So are we forgiven or judged?

I think the answer is found in Hebrews 9:27-28 “And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, 28 so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.”

Jude 1:24
Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into His glorious presence without a single fault.
